Sweden: Atvidaberg (9/13/07)

When our stay in Stockholm was over, we took a train to Atvidaberg where Carin's parents live. She and Emily drove up that evening after work from Vaxjo for a short visit and to take us back to Vaxjo the next day. Our visit in Atvidaberg was really great. We enjoyed the small, historical town and a gourmet dinner at Lisa & Valle's home. Here are pictures of our stay in Atvidaberg:

ALL ABOARD!

Carin's Parent's House - Atvidaberg, Sweden

Our three course, gourmet dinner included a delicious salad with prosciutto and capers and a main meal of pork, deer (courtesy of Valle's hunting skills), and home grown potatoes. Dessert was ice cream and cloudberry jam!

The bar is open: We all gathered after dinner for drinks and talked until around 2am!

The next morning we took a walk around the city center and passed by this area of the old town.

This is the old church in Atvidaberg ... beautiful landscaping and very well kept.

Inside the church - WOW

Cheeeeeese!
We had a wonderful visit with Valle & Lisa and around 4pm we were off to see where Carin & Emily live in Vaxjo, about 2 1/2 hrs. from Advitaberg ...
